Preheat grill or barbecue

INGREDIENTS

  • 500g (1lb) lean pork mince;
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh sage;
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg;
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 pinches of chilli powder;
  • 1 beaten egg.

Mix together the pork mince, sage, nutmeg and chilli powder and season well. Add the beaten egg to bind together. Mould the mixture into eight patties.

Cook the patties over a medium heat on the barbecue for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally, being careful not to let the outside overcook before the middle is cooked right the way through.
